Glen Allison is a travel photographer with no permanent base to call home. Once again he has launched a 10-year, non-stop vagabond journey to photograph extraordinary destinations across the globe. Traveling lightly, his bag holds just a few changes of clothes, a 17-inch MacBook Pro computer and a single Canon EOS 5D Mark II camera with five lenses. This is his second such journey in the past two decades. Glen's photography has been published more than 60,000 times in a majority of the world's leading travel publications. He has a degree in architecture from UC Berkeley, is one of the original founders of the Stock Artist's Alliance (the only trade association representing stock photographers worldwide) and he holds a leadership position in the Soka Gakkai International (SGI), a lay Buddhist organization dedicated to peace, culture and education.
He has published two books:
"The Journey from Kamakura" is a love story novel about a travel photographer roaming the globe in search of the ultimate experiences life has to offer.
"Penis Gourds and Moscow Muggings" is a non fictional, humorous account filled with representative stories and photos from his last marathon journey ten years ago to 131 countries and territories. |
